AI Generated Hints

Starting with v2025.2.LTS, you have the option to generate Math hints for the following Question types: Math, Multi-step Math, and Label Image with Math. The hints should be reviewed and can be edited after saving.

How to Generate Hints

To generate a hint using AI, compose your question and then select the "Math AI" button on the top right hand bar.

Selecting your Hints Style

There are two options available:

  • Problem overview and step-by-step instructions: provides an overview of the problem with key concepts defined, then a general strategy on how to solve the problem, followed by step-by-step instructions.
  • Step-by-step guided solution: provides detailed step-by-step guidance on solving the problem.

Once you've selected your hint style and clicked "Generate hints", you can review what has been generated and save or regenerate the hints by selecting a different hints style.

Editing your Hints

Once saved, the hints will appear in the Hints section where they can be customized using the Rich Text Editor, allowing you to format text, insert images, and include mathematical expressions.
